CDC shortened the recommended isolation time

CDC cuts the recommended isolation period for people with COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Monday shortened the recommended isolation time for people infected with COVID-19 from 10 days to five if they are asymptomatic. CDC says the updated guidance is in keeping with growing evidence that people with the coronavirus are most infectious in the two days before and three days after symptoms develop. The announcement comes as the nation is contending with a new coronavirus wave driven by the highly transmissible Omicron variant, the AP reported.
