Gaza’s Deadliest Day at Aid Sites: 70 Killed as Iran and Pakistan Condemn Israeli ‘Genocide’ at UN

International outrage grows as aid facilities become deadly targets amid escalating violence; Iran and Pakistan lead calls for urgent UN intervention.

Another 70 killed in Gaza

Israeli soldiers opened fire on desperate crowds of Palestinian aid seekers in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, killing 70 civilians and injuring 200 more using tank shells, machine guns, and drones. As a result, this attack adds to an ongoing wave of violence since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation—backed by Israel and the United States—began distributing food in the territory weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the foundation faces heavy criticism and accusations of “weaponizing aid,” as condemned by UN Secretary-General António Guterres. The worsening attacks and what many see as a systematic campaign against Palestinians have intensified global outrage.

At the 10th Emergency Special Session of the UN General Assembly on June 17th, Iran’s Amir Saeid Irvani called Israel’s actions genocidal and accused it of ethnic cleansing through starvation. Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmad described the crisis as a “stain on our collective conscience,” noting 55,000 civilian deaths since October 2023, including 18,000 children.

Given these developments, the international community condemns the violence as a grave violation of humanitarian law that must not be ignored.
