At the United Nations General Assembly in New York, leaders from Jordan, Qatar, and Turkey took the podium to condemn Israeli attacks on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing the urgent need for global cooperation to save lives and uphold human rights.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II opened his address with a stark reminder of repeated suffering. “Bombed indiscriminately… yet again. Killed, injured, and maimed… yet again. Denied rights, dignity… their basic humanity… Yet. Again,” he said, underscoring the cycle of violence that has gripped Palestinians for decades. “How long will we be satisfied with condemnation after condemnation without concrete action?” Abdullah II stressed that real security for both Palestinians and Israelis requires more than military measures. “In Jordan, we are determined to work for a world in which people are secure in their homes… and we safeguard Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem… in partnership with the international community.” He highlighted Jordan’s role as a hub for humanitarian operations, noting the contributions of local and regional partners delivering aid in dangerous conditions.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar described Israel’s actions as, “a crime of genocide by means of using the most sophisticated weapons against a people besieged in a detention camp.” Rejecting claims of self-defense, he declared, “It is no longer tenable to talk about Israel’s right to defend itself in this context without being complicit in justifying the crime.” Sheikh Tamim stressed Qatar’s ongoing humanitarian and mediation efforts, carried out in coordination with Egypt, the United States, and the UN. “We will continue our efforts with our partners until reaching a permanent ceasefire, securing the release of prisoners, and enabling the Palestinian people to obtain all their legitimate rights, foremost of which is their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital,” he said. He framed international cooperation not just as strategic, but as a moral obligation. “The international community bears responsibility for the consequences of what is happening to the brotherly Palestinian people,” he warned.

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan focused on both the human and institutional toll of the conflict. Citing more than 41,000 deaths, including 17,000 children, he said, “Gaza has become the largest cemetery for children and women in the world. Are those in Gaza and the occupied West Bank not human beings? Do children in Palestine have no rights?” Erdoğan criticized Israel for undermining ceasefire negotiations and killing interlocutors at critical moments. “Just as Hitler was stopped by the alliance of humanity 70 years ago, Netanyahu and his murder network must be stopped by the alliance of humanity,” he declared. He called on the UN and the international community to coordinate an immediate ceasefire, deliver uninterrupted humanitarian aid, and facilitate a hostage-prisoner exchange. “We must act decisively. Gaza is an inseparable part of Palestine and belongs to the Palestinian people,” Erdoğan said.

Across their speeches, Abdullah II, Sheikh Tamim, and Erdoğan presented a unified message: the violence in Gaza is a humanitarian catastrophe, Israel’s actions violate international law, and only a coordinated, multilateral effort through the United Nations can halt the bloodshed and secure a just peace. Abdullah II highlighted structural and operational cooperation, Sheikh Tamim framed accountability and mediation as moral imperatives, and Erdoğan emphasized immediate action through UN-led initiatives. Together, they made clear that the world must act, now, to uphold human dignity, protect civilians, and ensure the promise of a Palestinian state.
