On August 13, the “Echoes of Peace” cultural exchange event was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, co-hosted by the Permanent Mission of China to the UN and China Media Group. In his speech, Ambassador Fu Cong, China’s Permanent Representative to the UN, urged the world to remember the history of World War II, defend historical truth, and oppose any distortion or glorification of aggression. He noted that China fought in the Eastern main theater for 14 years, making decisive contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War at great sacrifice. Fu called for upholding multilateralism, resolving security challenges through cooperation, and addressing global issues together. The event featured a projection on the UN Secretariat building displaying the words “Echoes of Peace” in both Chinese and English, symbolizing unity and peace.
