SG refuses to label Gaza flotilla interception as ‘breach of international law’

Following Israel’s interception of the Gaza Flotilla — a humanitarian convoy attempting to break the siege — all vessels were stopped and passengers detained. While the SG has called on Israel to respect the 2024 ICJ ruling and ensure the safety of detainees, he has stopped short of calling the interception itself ‘illegal under international law’?
